This guessing game comes to you via Ryan. He thought that it would be fun to have everyone guess the date and time of the arrival of the baby! And, “what’s in it for me?” you may be asking? How about a $40 gift card to the Cheesecake Factory to whoever gets the closest! So you have to be the closest by date and time to win it. Good luck! By the way- my due date is July 18th and as far as we can tell, everything is looking pretty normal.

And as for update- I am just getting bigger and bigger. I feel like my skin is about to explode! Lucky me. Ryan is studying for the dental boards and just got word in the mail today that OraGlow is now an official business!

The Baby Was Showered!

This past thursday night, one of my best friends here in Buffalo threw me a baby shower! I have to admit, I was pretty timid about the whole thing. As you probably know, I am not really the “ohhhy-ahhhhhy type over things- unless of course we’re talking about jewelry, clothes or breath taking tropical sunsets. :) I’ve never jumped out of my seat to participate in a baby shower games or been” in” with the “in crowd” who are the experienced moms. But I have to say that Shannon, with a little help from two of my other incredible friends,(Megan and Cassandra- thanks guys) made the evening perfect!

No, I didn’t win any of the baby games but that didn’t matter. It was just great to be with people who are so supportive of me. I definitely hit the jack pot with adorable baby clothes/accessories. Thank you so much to everyone who helped and came! I felt so loved.

It’s hard to believe but it’s already been FOUR years since Ryan and I officially became Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Apparently when you’re married to your best friend, time flies. I felt very pregnant when I was trying to pick out a anniversary card at Wegmans and spontaneously started crying reading all of the messages. Yes, it was embarrassing. Happy four years Ryan, I love you!!

She Got Hitched!

Yes, it’s true. Hannah and Brenden tied the knot on May 21st in the gorgeous Oakland Temple. The wedding was perfect! It was easily one of the more emotional ceremonies I’d been to. Little Hannah started tearing up during the sealing so Brenden reached over and wiped her tears away. At that point, everyone in the room basically melted. (sorry Hannah, but it was really cute)!

I got to California a week before the wedding so we got to do some fun, pre wedding, things.

Master of The House

Okay, Okay. I’ll stop with the Master Megan thing already, but can you blame me for dragging it out as long as possible?

Three weeks ago, I walked across the stage at The Center For the Arts Theater at UB as a masters degree recipient! Truthfully, I had not planned on walking. Graduations are always boring and looooong. But, Ryan- being Mr. Supportive, forced me into it. And to help us celebrate, his mom, Lori, flew into town! Basically, there was no getting out of walking then.

Graduation was great. It wasn’t to long and it really wasn’t all that boring. Take a moment to be inspired by our commencement speaker and you’ll see what I mean.

Last week was a pretty exciting week for Ryan and I! Ryan finished his second year of dental school and I finished my Masters program! That’s right, Master Megan has been crowned. I am going to put up pictures from graduation but I am under strict orders from Ryan not to do so until he has an opportunity to edit the video he took of our inspirational graduation speaker.

We were also lucky enough to have Ryan’s mom, Lori come into town to help celebrate my graduation! While she was here she snapped us out of denial and helped us get things together for this baby that the doctors keep telling us is coming. That meant Ryan turning his “man cave,” into a cute, little baby room. What a good sport! Lori knocked herself out to make sure that this baby will have a nice room to come home to and to live in. She did way more for this room than Ryan and I would have, thank you so much Lori!!

Baby Shower & Surprises from Dr. Smith

This past weekend was great! Actually- the entire week was great. It was my last week of classes and getting my papers/projects turned in felt so good! I’m still working at my internship, but I love it there- it causes me zero stress. That means that I am oh so close to finally being named, Master Megan.

On friday, my co-workers threw me a baby shower, it was so much fun and so nice of them. I love going to my internship, we all get along great! Since I am working at the school, they insisted that Ryan come to the baby shower too. Ryan was a little nervous because he’d never been to a baby shower before, but I was happy that he got to meet everyone that I’d been working with this past year. They completely spoiled us, which was fantastic!!

Ryan and I have been pretty occupied trying to finish up school. That is why our blog has been neglected and boring lately. My sincere apologies for that. Only a few more weeks to go!! I can’t believe that this school year is almost over. I’ll have my masters degree and Ryan will be half way to being crowned, “Dr. Smith.”

So what we’ve been up to lately is enjoying the unusually warm weather, enduring march madness, celebrating Kalens birthday and loving the Easter holiday/Conference. Isn’t march over already? Why are there still basketball games going on? I think I’ve been pretty patient letting Ryan spend so much time keeping up with the latest and greatest on the basketball court.

The Sun Shines in California!

This past week turned out to be just what I needed, a visit with my family, my best friends and Mr. Sun. I couldn’t ask for a better spring break!! Ryan went to Portland to work with his dad in his dental practice and I went to California to meet my sisters fiance and to go to my baby shower!!! When I’d tell people that Ryan was in Portland and I was in California, I got some curious looks. Don’t worry though, I’m happy to report that our marriage is happier than ever.

The baby shower was great!! The woman is like a second mother to me, Mrs. Arlene Stenger, planned everything and made it so special.
